The Beginning
This is it - the beginning of my blog. I guess its customary to start a blog with a short introduction. About me - I'm in my late twenties and currently living in New York City. Pretty basic but I would imagine that more details will emerge as I continue my blog and get used to the format.
I decided to start blogging because I'm definitely starting to feel out of touch technologically and the various blogs I've read throughout the last couple of months have helped me make some big decisions (especially about b-school). One of the more interesting blogs I've read is a great blog by an HBS '06 student: Mark and Jie's Journey to B-school (markandjie.blogspot.com) Since I've received some valuable insights from the blogs I've read, my blog is my attempt at "giving back" to the blogging community. I'm also hoping that the blogging process will force me to become a better writer and to organize my thoughts. If the b-school essay writing process was any indication, my writing skills are definitely not what they once were.
I don't know yet how diligent I'll be (especially with a few months of sporadic Internet access ahead) but hopefully my blog will be interesting. It seems to me that there is probably a relationship between how interesting a person is and how interesting their blog is. However, I'm a bit worried about writing down my thoughts in a public forum because inevitably someone will REALLY disagree something I say in the future (or I will stick my foot in my mouth and write something that nearly everyone disagrees with). I'll cross that bridge later.

Suck it up. People disagree with pretty much everything I say of any substance. Which is as it should be. I am cooler than everybody else.
